The Local Plan is what shapes our town and countryside. It sets out where we want new houses, roads and workplaces to go, and how we want to protect our countryside.
Thanks to everyone who took part in our consultation meetings on the draft local plan drawn up by the Council. Here's our response to it.
Our cycling strategy
Cycling is win, win, win. It's good for people, good for the environment and good for road safety.
West Northants Labour Group welcomes the Council's cycle strategy. But we call for more action to make sure cycle routes are safe, well connected, and there's support to help people get started on their cycling journey.
Our policy on homes in multiple occupation
Action is long overdue on houses in multiple occupation, to ease pressures on local residents and infrastructure and improve community relations. West Northants Labour Group proposes action to improve housing standards for people in HMOs And protect the environment for local communities.
